Off to Orlando

Sunday- March 18, 2001

Jamie's dad woke me up at 6:30 and I got up, showered, and dressed in no time. I hurried over to the restaurant where we were supposed to meet.
I smoked three cigarettes and they had not arrived, so I walked up to the mall entrance where they would have to turn in. I stood there and smoked two more smokes, and then heard my mom call my name from across a 4-6 lane divided road. I looked and saw her and T.J. They were at the Speedway gas station. I walked over and met them.

We went to Shoney's for the breakfast buffet and it turned out that our waitress was from Lafayette, NY, which is just outside of Syracuse.

We left there and drove down to the beach and I saw a lot of the places again that I had seen yesterday. But it was cooler.
We then drove up the beach and found a flock of pelicans. Some had landed on the sand, and I was able to walk right up to them. It was cloudy and started to rain, but not a downpour so it was bearable.

We drove further up the beach with T.J. asleep in the back seat. I found a cool Florida patch at a roadside shell shop. We decided that I would go to Orlando to spend the night, and they would bring me back in the morning to catch my plane. So we headed back, I got my stuff, and let Jamie know that I would not be back. I said goodbye and off we went.
