The Reverend Horton Heat played in Syracuse on March 5, 2002 with the bands Nashville Pussy and The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs at Armory High.
The Reverend Horton Heat is one of my All-Time Favorite Bands and missing them was out of the question. (Let's just say I would rather be shot in the Face than miss this band.)
If you live in Syracuse (or anywhere else for that matter) and these guys come to your town and you don't go -
YOU SUCK! No exceptions.
Everyone who was anyone in the Syracuse scene was at this show and with good reason. All the bands rocked HARD and showed no mercy.
These guys rock harder than almost any band on Earth and are are so tight that it's hard to believe that they aren't machines. It was great to see such cool bands making a stop in the 'Cuse, seeing as how we usually get skipped by the good bands and get stuck with crap like Britany Spears or Loverboy at the State Fair.
Finally, someone pulled their head out of their ass and got a good show to come here. If more cool stuff like this happened people would be less inclined to bitch that there is nothing to do in this city. (How many cover bands can the denizens of this city sit through?)
