Home....................Les Claypool's Frog Brigade

Me with "Matt" (?) & Eenor of the Frog Brigade.

July 24, 2001 Finger Lakes Amphitheatre Becky Boyer and I went to the Finger Lakes Performing Arts Center to see the Phil Lesh & Friends Tour. The opening act was Colonel Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade (For those that don't know: Les Claypool is the bass player & driving force behind Primus.)
We finally got let into the venue and we found a spot in the shade as close to the stage as we possibly could get.
We were to the right of the stage where the bands had to go to get from the stage to the backstage area. We watched Les & Co. tear through their set. It was as much fun to watch them as it was to listen to listen to them play. They were Incredible.
Les is a crazed musical genius. Like a mad scientist with a passion for psychotic bass riffs, he experiments with the sound until he comes up with something that no one has ever heard before:
A sonic whirlpool that sucks you in and won't let you go. (****)
I believe the guy in the hat's name is Matt. Anyone who knows for sure, let me know.
