D.R.I. Site
Cafe Metropolis

New Society of Anarchists are four guys from Milwaukee, Wisconsin that make a lot of noise. I caught them on tour with D.R.I. (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsyvania. Until then, I had No idea who they were, but that soon changed. I talked to the members of the band before the show began and they were really cool guys.
We talked about music and I told them about my site and what I do. They hooked my up with some stickers and a copy of their CD entitled: "
The Few, The Proud, The Brutal."
The show finally started and I have got to tell you that these guys rock!

The music was incredibly brutal, just like the CD said! This is heavy old school hardcore punk and the influences from hardcore veterans Agnostic Front and M.O.D./S.O.D. were very noticeable. But amidst all the musical brutality there were some great hooks that draw you in and make you want to listen to it again and again.
The crowd really got into this band and the pit was wall-to-wall mayhem.
The two hundred or so people in attendance were treated to a dose of hardcore the way it was meant to be played: fast, loud, and with unrelenting fury! This is a band to catch live if you can! It is well worth the price of admission. The CD is awesome and still gets heavy rotation in my CD player! Check out my interview with Vocalist/Bass player Zakk Z.
