Six Days in Sin City
Day Six - July 5, 2005
Heading Home

Everyone slept in late and got up around the crack of Noon! We felt all that much better for it. Again, I pulled the old Wake & Bake maneuver and then went out on the patio for a cigarette. While I was smoking, I came up with a killer new song idea. I went back inside, grabbed my recorder, returned to the patio, and taped it. I didn't want to forget it.
We had no major plans for the day other than getting ready to go home. Using Rob's washer and dryer, Sven and I did laundry and packed for our trip home. We organized all of our souvenirs and Las Vegas swag to get it in our bags. We hid all the stuff like matches that we weren't supposed to bring on the plane deep inside of other objects so they wouldn't be seen.
I had some pot left, so Rob and I rolled it up into two more joints and smoked one. As for the remainder of the mushrooms, I planned on eating them before we left for the airport. They would make the flight home a lot more interesting.
We spent the rest of the afternoon just hanging out, smoking weed, and watching TV. We chatted with Rob and Bill and thanked them for putting us up for the week. They said it had been a pleasure having us. They'd had a good time as well.

Around 7 PM, it was time to go catch our bus. We said goodbye to Big Rob and Uncle Bill. Before we walked out the door, I ate the last portion of the shrooms and washed them down with a beer. We walked to the corner and caught a bus. As we waited at the bus depot, we bumped into the woman from the Riviera that we had spoken with a few days before. She asked us how our trip to Las Vegas had gone and we told her it had been amazing. She wished us a safe trip home. We thanked her and reminded her to check out the website. We got to the airport and waited for our flight. It left right on time and we had no problems with security. The flight to Indianapolis was uneventful and rather boring. It was night time and dark outside so there was nothing to see out the windows. I just bugged out on the shrooms and enjoyed the show they put on…
In Indianapolis, we pulled the one-at-a-time smoking thing again. I went for a smoke and saw a guy toss the new issue of FHM magazine into the trash can in front of me. It had Jenny McCarthy wrapped in a garden hose on the cover. I grab it up and flipped through it. I was psyched about getting it because now we finally had something cool to read on the plane.

I came back and showed it to Sven. He smiled and couldn't wait to read it. He went for his smoke and was soon back.
We boarded our next plane for the flight to Detroit. When we got there, we went back to SkyBox. Danielle was there and remembered us. We made small talk with her about the trip as we smoked our cigarettes. By the time we had gotten there, Sven had only five dollars left and I was completely broke. After some bottled water and a tip, Sven was down to his last dollar.
We thanked Danielle and were on our way. There was a short delay, but we finally got to go. We continued reading the FHM and laughing. The mushrooms made me laugh at everything, but were beginning to wear off.
The flight to Syracuse passed quickly and we soon landed. The lovely Miss Sarah Woodward and MedusEd picked us up. Sarah even brought fresh fruit for us. She is as thoughtful as she is beautiful! Sarah and Ed brought us back to my house, but couldn't stick around and hang out. We thanked them and they were off. Sven and I walked up the stairs and dropped our gear. Kitty wrapped her arms around me and kissed me passionately. She was glad that I was back and so was I. It was good to be home.
